3090 Getting More Dangerous

I rode 3090 on Tuesday up to Carlos and back down, and man I have to say the gravel and the tar snakes in the corners keep getting worse. I was in full lean on one turn and the tar snakes had me ever so steadily inching toward the yellow stripe one slide at a time..... Between the gravel, the tar snakes, and the braking ripples, the road is getting iffy...and I wasn't really even in full tilt boogey mode..:confused1

Still a great road, but the pace has to be in check a bit more if you're smart anyway:eh:

It just reaffirms the old saying take it to the track...

I hadn't ridden it in a while, and I try to keep it sane on the road, but it was worse tham I remember it.... Still had fun though, just a little more caution utilized that before...

I rode 3090 for the first time 2 weeks ago......it's a nice road and all....but yeah, way too much gravel, tar snakes, LEO's, cars that can't hold their own lane, and little critters that like to cross the road. other than that, it's a nice cruise.

Thats a scary turn. come around and its all tar. nearly lost my front end there a few times :/

if you come the other way from the top of 3090 down to anderson, instead of from anderson, its alot better.

We didn't have any problems with the rest of the road but the brandnew tar snakes are a bit scary.

No kidding - just need a 4-day weekend, and I'm going to head up. Decent ride up and back, GREAT riding in norther AR and southern MO. Scenery is pretty good too! Thing is, I've heard it's a little chilly until the big thaw in April or May...

+1 on Northern Arkansas. I'm planning a trip there ths summer. The Ozarks are beautiful with roads that rival deals gap, with less bikers.
