How many of y'all rock the riding boot look?

I'm thinking about buying a pair of Sidis and wearing them with bootcut jeans. Do any of y'all do this? And if so, is it comfortable enough to walk in?

I have a pair of vertigos and probably wouldn't wear them any other time; but for riding. They get hot and aren't very comfortable to walk around in.

most race/riding boots don't have much sole on them (with the exception of ICON Boots), so I don't walk in mines much.

Yes. Ask firefighters or EMTs who go to motorcycle wrecks.
Sneakers are one of the first things to fly off.
I prefer my ankles would stay in one piece.

Protection > sole duration.

The vertigos were actually the ones I was considering.

My A* SMX plus are ok to walk in. I wouldnt go walking miles in them but they arent bad for riding/ moderate walking in a store or something. The soles are thin and they are starting to scuff the front and back of the soles alot but its been 2 years and held up fine.

He phrased the question with "rocking the riding boot look".

When I rode street and new I'd be walking around a lot during some portion of my travels I had a backpack with regular shoes in them. Once stopped I swapped over and the boots went into the bag.

I get the distinct impression the OP is a little more concerned with the fashion statement.

Sidi vertigo Air (for 11months a year) and Sidi Vertigo (for winter). NEVER ride in anything else. I walk around the UofH campus in them no problem (loosen the zippers down to normal shoe height so they breath a little and aren't as stiff).

For everyday at work... I leave a pair of sneakers. But I don't hesitate to wear the sidis to dinner, store, meets, school, etc.

Get some Dr Scholls work boot insoles and you'll be MUCH happier. Calmed down the vibrations on the bike, give some cushion for walking. Without them, the soles feel rock hard and I wouldn't wear them around walking much.

I wear my boots evrytime I get on a bike. I usually leave a pair at work. If I'm going somewhere I'm going to be walking (sports event concert ect...) I bring a pair of shoes and a backpack.

Ahh it would seem that I ignored the urban slang statement in its entirety.
