I love arais, but I may switch over the either schuberth or Nexx for the next one. Nexx are supposed to have the comfort of an arai, yet weigh less. Schuberths are supposed to be more comfortable and quieter than anything else.

The new RPHA10 (RPS10) or Bell Star.
I've worn Arai for almost 35 years, including racing much of that time, and can honestly say I like the Bell Star better.

I have an AGV Stealth. It is a nice looking helmet; but it runs small and fits very snug. Kills my ears on longer rides. The Bell Star will probably be my next helmet. Best bang for the buck.

I've owned an Arai, Shoei, and Suomy, and out of all of those I've enjoyed the Suomy the most. It's comfortable, fits my head perfectly, and it's super light.

With that being said, I've ordered a new Bell Star; I had an opportunity to try one on and it felt like putting my head between two couch cusions - its super comfortable and fits my head as perfectly as the Suomy. With that being said, the sizing is one less than the Suomy - I wear a Large in Suomy and a Medium in the Bell Star.

I'll get my Bell on Tuesday and I'll try it out; if you want I'll post a review.

I love my shoei r1100... it's quiet has a dust guard flat black not excessively pricey so more money to spend on other goodies..

Just got an HJC CL-16 $100 yesterday quiet as a motherfncker and very good padding IMO. You'll have $900 to spend on other goodies. Cheers

well i benched my RPS-10 early cuz i disliked it so much

loving my Corsair V, once you've had the best, hard to step down and be happy.

so many little things make the corsair better then the RPS

2 things the RPS was better then the Arai

1) weight, the RPS is lighter
2) shield change mechanism.

arai just feels more finished, more snug, airflow and noise is better. when the shield closes its a nice thunk, and it moves better. the RPS center latch blocked my field of view. the Arai also has a much better field of view overall. like you're out in the open. the materials are better, the buckles are thicker, the strap is thicker.

so many little things.

of course your results may vary

but the Arai is 2x as much too.

and if you want the isle of man, order it soon, cuz their are not alot to go around.

and yes i have that lid already.

thanks for all the opinions.. after thinking it over, and trying-fit on these helmets I've come to conclusion/not .. so now I'm undecided between these 2 AGVs..

the GP tech 5 continents has the shell but not the graphics I want, and a $130 dollar over the Grid Sun & Moon which is the step down but with the graphics to wow

You tried on the Agv? Arias fit my head like a dream, but new AGVs fit like . Totally different profiles.

Yes, I tried the HJC on, the arai and the AGV .. at 2 wheel toys.
The HJC RPHA -10 somehow feels a bit heavier than my RPS
The arai fits awesome and then I tried a GP-tech (which is the reason why I'm going AGV
but they had a helmet I've been attracted to.. like the girl at the bank
Its called the Grid sun & moon. The graphics are mad, but is the step down from the GP tech.

So now I am sure the shell and materials on the gp tech is what I want, but the graphics are not my style. The grid looks unbelievable .. pictures do it no justice, but the shell, air ports in/out are not appealing to me..

I feel I'm wearing it out too fast, so I need something else to be able to change to every once in a while and let my rps rest for a few days a week
I love that RPS, if I didn't have it then it would be the helmet I would buy. but it just doesn't make sense to have 2 same helmets

my issue with the 5 continents is the amount of color blue it has.. I'm afraid it may not match my bike

Don't worry about the blue, after a few months of sun, the lime yellow won't match either. That colors seems to fade in the sun over time. I have an RF1100, RPS-10 and a Corsair-V. As stated above, the Arai has the fit and finish. HJC has the price and is comfy. shoei just feels solid. I wanted an AGV but I tried it on at 2 Wheel Toyz and walked around for a bit and it started to become uncomfortable on the top of my head. Out of those 2 colors, either one would be a sick choice. Buy both. LOL
