Welcome.
Not sure if i welcomed you yet, but welcome to MH. Lots of good peeps on here. Got the share of keyboard warriors too that i think love to talk some mess. But whatever floats their boat. But if ya post up be ready for onpour of comments, especially if you say a certain situation or talk about something irresponsible, even though possibly a few have been through ourselves. Anyway not preaching just got up on this fine Monday, got the day off and gonna put some work in on mine so I can get back on two wheels myself.
 to the guy who helped you with your bike.
Be safe. See ya around

Don't worry man, I got the same treatment from a couple of doushers a few weeks ago when i posted a warning thread about a particular Sherrif's deputy pulling over riders on 290 on the way to RR. Going a wopping 81! Keep the rubber side down and be safe!

There's always alot of tough love on here, because many of us were burying our friends before you hit puberty. I buried my first one in 1992. Tim, on a '90 GSXR 1100. Those who have spent years riding and are still around have generally either been really lucky, really careful or learned and applied a lot of lessons the hard way.

You can write it off as a bunch of internet commandos sitting at their keyboards talking out their . Some probably are. By the same token, it's always easy to talk about living on the edge, breaking the rules, FTP et cetera on the internet. You have apparently pushed the limits on wheels before, as your speeding warrants suggest. We all have. Just understand that on a motorcycle, the skill requirement is a LOT higher than on four wheels and the line at which you cross into deep is a lot closer.

I've broken a lot of bones over the years. I've spent my share of time in hospital beds. I've watched a few good people choke their last breath right in front of me. I laid on the ground with the wind knocked out of me with two broken vertebrae trying to lift my head up enough to see if I could still move my feet and legs. gets real really fast, and that internet machismo disappears when you see an open compound fracture and your tibia's poking out of your shin.

Yes, there are people on here that are at first glance - but there is a lot of knowledge and experience on here as well. Sometimes it's all found in the same person. I hope you learn, improve and stay alive. You seem really young from your posts. Keep your mind, eyes and ears open and you can learn alot. Good luck.

The stater cover should be pretty easy to replace. I did mine on the 2004 GSXR 600 last year. You can find the parts online cheaper. You can also ask Bill from Wild West Honda. He gives MotoHouston members a good discount, and knows alot.
