check out "Round-Top" Friday nights around 11pm. Or check out Waikiki Beach Park on Sundays around noon, usually there are a bunch of custom car clubs that cruise there.

Then go to the North Shore and check out Paa'laa Kai Bakery and say hi to my mom.

I've heard a lot about Round Top. Sunsets!!! We went up another area and got into a small government area that's east of there. Not as high but NO ONE was there, but us. Unfortunately - - - -- clouds rolled in and covered the horizon about 30 minutes before sundown.

I was lucky enough to live in Kaneohe (country side, brah!) back in '94 for about 5 years back when I was just a "freakin haole" man child...Man I miss surfing north shore, the fresh sushi, chasin' all the fresh "coconuts" on the beach and getting into "beef's" with the locals (until they figured out I actually lived there)...good times, good times..
Don't forget to "grind" some poi! " It "Brok da mout"!!
Have a great time, it will be hard to leave!

Just woke up. Was gonna go to Pearl but I didn't realise how big of a deal it is to get a tram or a tour. Some tours leave at 5:45am ! ! ! ! The Battle ship tours are sold out by 7:00am.
I'm starting to think that 8 days just isn't gong to be enough. I really appreciate all these tips. I wanna do ALL this stuff! ! ! ! !
PLUS - I don't wanna miss all those thongs on the beach either. he he. I gotta bring up my boys to be MEN. None of this "Alternative Sexual Orientation" BS.

I'll post more up again later.

You have to get to Pearl Harbor very early! I'm sure you have noticed all the Japs there; but I can almost guarantee you will not see them at Pearl Harbor. It is something every American that visits Ohuau has to experience. Matsumotos shaved ice in North Shore is awesome! You will not want to leave trust me!

the roads never got washed out? My mom and dad still live in our house that I grew up in Waialua, I was just there this summer visiting them.

I talk to my mom once a week, and all is business as usual there? The Haleiwa harbor had the water wash up onto the boat harbor area, and some flooding in Haleiwa Road during the hard rains but it didn't get washed away to where they had to rebuild anything.

Pearl harbor is free dude, just get a ride to there and you will be good. Even visiting the USS Arizona memorial is free but limited to seats per hour.

BTW....YOU NEED TO JUMP OFF THE ICE POND FALLS
