Couple of guys here at work crashed yesterday

About 5 guys here at work went out on a bike lunch yesterday.

Guy on a brand new Victory 1600 clipped the VFR800 in front of him. His foot was caught between the bikes - broke it in two places and broke his foot peg.

The VFR800 was thrown off balance and laid down. No damage though. Rider was unhurt.

Moral of the story: Watch where you're going and ride staggered formation.

No bent levers or scratches? VFRs scratch easily. Did he have framesliders?

It is scratched. He was able to set it down without breaking anything though. Same thing happened to me when I forgot to take off my disc lock - I went forward but was still able to lay it down easy. :icon_smil

I almost had an accident this morning myself.....my kickstand wasnt' all the way down or something I don't know but I started to get off and as soon as I got my right leg over and started to lean the bike onto the stand I realized I heard the stand go UP and the bike was on its way DOWN. I muscled it and put my body in front of it and saved it! Hurt my right shoulder a bit I think doing it but it was worth it!
