spraypaint to professional job....

seeing as a lot of people wonder why shops tend to charge a bit more for parts that are spray painted, i would like to demonstrate one reason why...

this is after about 1 minute of sanding....
76c594fac669

on a normal base coat/clear coat paintjob....sanding after 15 minutes looks like this....
cbb191182a60

i hope you guys see the difference. and it takes 10x as long to sand off spraypaint. the prep work is just a longer process. that is why if you ever want a professional paint job....it's best not to spraypaint your parts, it will cost you more in the long run.

Tony, we dont keep them up long enough to make the professional paint worth it.

that is true for a lot of us.

some people end up not satisfied after a spraypaint job....so i'm only concluding that if they're unsure, or not easily satisfied....getting it done right the first time would be the better choice.

sidenote: 2 1/2 more weeks til trackday. :BangHead:

while i understand exactly what you are saying here, i love the way mine turned out, I think i did a pretty good job considering. Yeah, sanding spray paint does in fact, SUCK.
