Talking How you doing from Cypress....

Hello everyone, Im not new to the forums I belong to Houston-Imports, HPD, and some other local car and club forums. Im new to the bike scene in a way seeing how I have been riding for atleast 6 months now Dirt bike and a bit or street riding. I've worked my way up from a 125 Yamaha Yz to a Suzuki GSXR 600 that my buddy let me ride a couple of times to get the feel for one. Im currently looking to take my Benninger's Course at the Crossroad's Harley-Davidson Dealership but have yet to sign up for the classes them self's. And I am currently looking for a good 600 street bike or streetfighter, or a good 750 so if you know where I can look for a pre used for sale by owner bike let me know please. But i'm interested on how the atmosphere in this forum is.

The atmosphere here is like a dysfunctional family.
We fight, and moan but we all help each other out. That I can promise you. WHether advice, barrowing trailer, or rider needs help getting home, someone always steps up to the plate.

Getting a bike? Watch the FS forum they pop up frequently here.
How much you going to spend and are you model specific?
Opening up your options to Yami, Kawi, Honda, and SUzuki will increase your odds exponentially.
Now when you ask stuff like "what is the best" bike for the money, that is where the OPINIONS start flying.
Opinions are like , everyone has one and they all stink.

Welcome aboard.

Thank you everyone for the welcome's, No im not looking for anything certain just a decent 600 or 750 that I can use quite often. Something that I can mod as time goes on and something that won't drop me into a hole when I want to take it to the track. Recently I was looking at a Buell Blast, I mean I love Buell not for the name but the sound of the bikes. And the fact that it looked great for a beginner. But I'd like to see if I can find something that will handle great, put up quick and something that's been babied seeing that I will baby the bike myself. But i'll keep a look out for anything in the FS forum. And I hope to see some of ya'll on the streets or a track.

Meh I know I figured I could do a 1125xb swap later down the road. But as far as track's I don't know if I should go Motard, Or just flat track. But i'll figured that out soon.

Grew up in Bonaire and Enchanted Ghetto (Valley) along with a ton of friends in Ravensway and such. You'll see me pretty regular out around 1960/290 on the Buell with Psycho Pete on his blue/silver sv650. Good ole Cy-Farm.

It's nothing like the other buells. It's fun but not a "real" bike once you get on the highway. Plus the blast has no friction zone so the clutch is off or on. Not good for beginners and has made it one of the most injury causing bikes ever due to new riders driving them into walls at the classes.

I still like mine but it's just my baby buell/ backup buell.

Most Buelligans for some reason collect the entire range. I know I've started. You get a blast, then a few months later an XB9/12 (get the 12!), and then the 1125RS. That just leaves you with wet dreams about the 1140 and the 40K pricetag. Check out badweatherbikers, tons of info.
