Need to borrow pittbull newfront/steering stem stand...

I need this only for about 15min, I need to raise the front of my bike up about an inch(its lowered) I can ride to you & knock it out there or pick it up & return. Will buy a 6pack or your choice(only if I pick it up, can't fit a 6pack on the R1 ) Ill leave you my address, DL#, dog, girlfriend, iPad, or something worth value till I return it.

Please PM me if you have one, must fit a 08 Yamaha R1...thanks in advance!

I screwed a big hook into a ceiling joist in my garage. I suspended the front from the hook with a ratchet strap while my rear was on a stand. Works great

+1

I've run ratchet straps to my garage rafters to hold up the front end before because i didn't have a stand like this. Worked just fine.

Hung the front of the bike from ratchet straps and pulled the whole front end off. Forks, triples, everything. Changed steering head bearings and lowered it back down.
Probably hung for a week.

might have to give this a shot...previous owner of my house put sheet rock in the garage & did a horrible job doing it. so it wont be as simple as just throwing it over a rafter

You don't need exposed rafters. Its as simple as a hook into it. I used a hook similar to the ones you hang bikes from. I used a slightly larger hook though. I used a small drill bit to find both sides of the 2x6 so I could make sure I dead centered the 2x6
