RMZ 450 SM

Picked the Suzuki up yesterday and couldn't wait to start fiddling.

Tonight I took apart the front brake caliper, cleaned and unseized one of the pistons, and put it all back with fresh RBF600.

Next it was off with the air filter for a good cleaning, oiling, and greasing.

Don't forget to flush the coolant system and then add some water wetter.

Oh, and one last thing........install the sumo wheels and tyres complete with front brake adapter. It is going to need a chain block and a bit of fettling, but it is almost there.

Looks the dogs bollocks if I may say so myself....

Nice! So I just purchased a 450 myself. It looks like the rims are smaller for the SUMO?? I haven't researched it at all yet, how much do the rims run?

17' rims so you can run race rubber. Prices vary from 800-3500! Look for a used set on Ebay or SMJ. 500 would be a good deal.

Do your research. Ryan Moore who is a big Supermoto guy and owner of 50stunt.com recommends DNA or Excel wheels. Read about them on supermotojunkie.

Chad has the best price around on DNA wheels. I hear to stay away from the WARP 9's. This is directly from other members on this site and SMJ.

Absolutely nothing. I used to throw money at bikes, now I'm just going to ride them as hard a possible in stock trim. I have probably been wastng my money all these years.

Well.....maybe the front brake if it is really rubbish on the track.
