Need a tire put on my bike...

How much should it cost and where can I go to get my front tire put on?

Almost every tire has a different cost, what kind of tire do you want? Something for the track, street, both?

What side of town?

My estimate would be 150.00 or a little less. Depends on tire and if its on the bike

i've routinely had regular tire changes (Front or back) cost over 200 after mounting. In your case, the front wheel is so easy to remove, that you should really consider taking it off yourself bringing the old tire + rim to a place like cyclegear (where they give you a discount on the mounting if you buy the tire there) and I think i was OTD with a michelin pilot power mounted for like $145.

that being said. if you look in the how-to section i just posted a thread from another forum where a guy shows you how to mount your tire for less than $5.00 with zipties and soap+water.

I live in west Houston. And I would more than likely bring the bike up to whatever shop I go to. I can take the tire off myself but I may not have all the tools needed. If I can remove the tire, would the price be cheaper? And, did you say $150 to put the tire on? Does that include the tire also?

if you bring your wheel and tire (off bike of course)to cycle gear it should cost 20 bucks.

FYI.. Cycle gear charges me 30 bucks off the bike with a new tire. Its just a little cheaper if you buy the tire from them. Been there done that.

the Honda shop in Katy charge about 80 bucks to mount and balance and the Yamaha shop charges about 60 bucks per wheel.

Let me know if you need help.

We have the best tire prices in town and compared to anywhere on the web. We also offer free mount and balance if you bring us the wheel off the bike, if you ride your bike in its $30 to remove/install a wheel. If you bring in your own tire and wheel we charge $10 to mount and balance.

We stock a variety of tires as well, and if we don't have what you need we can usually get it within 1 business day.
