you sure you didn't fill out a 130u form. its required for all title transfers, instate or out of state.
i've transfered plenty of titles, both in and out of state. the above checklist sums up the required forms.

and fyi for anybody that transfers titles, most already know this. they DO go by bluebook value and not what you state the sales price is. so don't think you're gonna get away without paying taxes due.

i went to there office Pearland brought original title, back part was signed by the owner for transfer with insurance and state inspection paid the said tax and registration that was it or maybe i did signed
