various auctions around the nation, most stay local but some go to other states. bcap, iaai, salvage direct to name a few, but u have to have a dealers license to buy.

just kick one of your friend's bikes over and buy it back from insurance

tell your friend to buy it back from them, and you pay your friend for it. other than that, nobody else can buy it back directly from the insurance company. it will be cleaned up and go to the auctions for people like me to buy at an even lower price (sometimes).

there a few people on here that attend the auctions. i used to go to the police and repo auctions but its hard to compete with people like eximports that buy bikes and sell them 150% of bluebook

^^^ yep! there's a lot more of them than you think. good thing the licensed dealer auctions up'd their visitor price and only allows 1 visitor per dealer. hopefully that will keep the auction prices a little bit lower.

check with the local credit unions too like startrust ,memmbers trust ,member choice, etc. the will sell bike before they go to auction if they have them....maybe check as few of the local ins. companies too they might like to make a quick buck from selling before auction.

Auctions are a joke. They won't sell the bike or cars below what the seller is asking. It is like on ebay with a reserved.

if you want a wrecked sportbike from the auction be prepared to pay out the for one. and thats pretty much where ever you go. wrecked sportbikes are bringing gold because most of them go to mexico. they swim across and ride our bikes back:laughing6 :laughing6

you do realize that's why they up'd the visitors fees and only 1 visitor per dealer rule now at some places....the illegals buy up all the stuff and bring it back to mexico to flip for more. hey, there's nothin wrong with making money, but they have 1 dealer license and about 30 visitors coming in. the auction houses are makin money on these visitors....but it scares away the licensed dealers. so i say it's a plus with the up'd fees and rules at certain places.

you can buy your bike back from the insurance company if its yours...like if you wreck or something...they give you the option.but im not sure if you could buy someone elses.......im not a big auction fan.......went a few times but BLAH....people pay over price for bikes cause they make there money faniancing(EXIMPORTS.PRECISON CYCLES)you do also have your dealers lisence wich is a big hassal if you dont own a shop..........try to kiss someones that has a dealers lisence and pay him a couple hundred to buy you a bike that you want, they always have viewings before the auctions...even over the internet...
