front tire chicken stripe question

I get the chicken stripe on my front tire, 1/2" on either side while my rear tire has none at all. Should they be equal?

Depends on the tire, and PSI... And of course how much lean angle you are capable of.

I got my street duty S20 front down to 1/8" I was kinda surprised.

From my experience? No. They should not.

Please don't kill yourself trying to eliminate chicken strips on what I'm going to assume is a street bike.

You'd need to be riding the bike well been stupidity on the street to remove the front chicken strip if the bike is setup properly.

Strips depend on tire and bike. Fronts are usually harder to get rid of than the back.

Why is this even a question? People need to be more concerned about learning to ride properly vs wondering about a chicken STRIP. For instance. A person that knows how to ride very well and rides at safe speeds on the street will have chicken STRIPs maybe even bigger chicken strips than someone that doesn't know how to really ride a bike to its limit. For simple fact that the more skilled rider doesn't have to lean the bike as much to go around the same corner as someone that isn't as skilled.

Basically what I am saying is chicken strips don't mean lol

I have enough chicken strips on both my front and rear street tire to have an MH meet and feed everyone.

That's true. I had a buddy when I first started riding that thought he was a much superior rider to me because he didn't have chicken strips. I never saw him ride so I believed him. Years later I rode behind him, and he was almost dragging peg just "warming up the tires." I finally figured it out, he wasn't a better rider at all. He just never moved an inch from bolt-upright in the saddle.

On the other end of the spectrum, the guy I bought my bike from still had the colored stripes on the front and rear tires and it had about 1600 miles on it. He admitted he cruised around mostly, reason why he sold the bike.
