Got pulled over on 290!!

Got pulled over this morning on 290 heading West bound right before the Katy-Hockley exit. We were clocked at 81 in a 65. The sucker that pulled us over gave us an ominus warning that "the hammher" was coming down on sport bike riders! There is a joint effort by HCSD and DPS to crack down on riders traveling at high rates of speeds! These guys know our favorite routes and when and where they can pick us off the easist! Just want to give everyone the heads up to be on the look-out for pigs! Good thing he didn't get us going 130 a few exits before.

This must be be really fvcking hard for some people to understand.

Especially calling the cop a pig for simply doing his job. Stay classy...

I was fine with the ticket! I was speeding and got caught! What i didn't like was his "the hammer is coming down" comment! It's almost like they are going to start targeting sport bike riders. Simply a warning to all riders to be on the look out for extra cops!

I know the risk I take every time when I'm out and happen to be speeding. If I get pulled over for it, its on me and no one else. I got a ticket last night on the bike. Second one in three years. The way I ride most of the time I'll take it happily in light of all the other times I'm out riding like a fool and don't get caught. The officer last night was very nice and wrote me a ticket for 68 in a 55 when I was clocked at 98 on one wheel. He did that so I can still take defensive driving. I was very appreciative and thanked him. Had he not done that I still would've taken the full ticket because, well I was in the wrong and I got caught. Don't get mad when you're CAUGHT breaking the law. If you don't want a ticket its simple, obey the traffic laws. If not, take the ticket and be on your way.

They've always targeted sport bike riders, that's nothing new.

my bad for for saying that you cried about it, misunderstanding and thanks for the heads up. I just think calling the cops names for doing their job is childish.

What was your demeanor towards the officer when you were pulled over? Did you act like an arrogant or were respectful and took the citation like a man?

Judging by your OP I'm thinking you acted like a complete .

If you wanted to give a heads up about any potential speed traps you could have done so without bragging any perceived riding prowess you think have and certainly without the derogatory comments to the issuing officer.
The only the thing you have succeeded in in this thread is making yourself look like a ignorant squid .

yep, i think the part said it was not a post i was going to get behind...
you played, he did his job...kind of the way it works...also stating you had been going 130 mph on a public road is maybe not something you really want to do on this forum...
