seems a little high...being old helps with a sport bike but not as much as being old and driving a buick, it is still high.

For some insurers, it also makes a difference if you have not insured a bike continuously for more than 1yr. I guess they figure you are either a new or returning rider and more at risk of accident. After a yr, discounts might apply to drop your rates some.

I have an '02 CBR 954 and a '05 FJR 1300 on my Progressive policy- both with full coverage and just got the renewal notice - $700/yr for both.

Something is wrong in your case.

just got finish signing membership here and this is the first thing i look up coz i just got mine for $240 at GIECO,bike full coverage+towing maybe not bad at all than $1400 or are there more cheaper out there with same coverage?

My GSXR1000s cost just under $300/yr for basic liability plus UIM and theft. Basic liability on the other GSXR 1000s cost right at $80/yr. Clean record, clean credit, own house.

Geico, but was Progressive a few years back; Allstate and State Farm could not get close (I have checked).

Still seems very high for you...
