Exclamation Enduro/DualSport/Motard/SuperMoto - Whats the diff?

Hey guys just a quick question about the main differences between the different names (is it simply the names?) or are their subtle nuances between the distinctions: Dual Sport, Enduro, Motard & Super Moto

Thanks

I wonder how many times this has already been discussed on the internet.

No difference, just buy one bike and use it to ride all. Also need to add Motocross to your list also. hehe

well i figured there were at least some differences for instance, i know super moto bikes may or may not come with license plate brackets, blinkers things of that nature, where as dual sports most likely would. but whether enduro and dual sport are just synonyms or what have you, things of that nature.

enduro/dualsport: Dr650, xr650l, klr650
"Street" supermoto: ktm 640, ktm 690smc, drz400sm, pretty much a dualsport bike which has 17" front and rear sportbike rims.
A real supermoto: yzf450, crf450, rmz450, kx450f, etc, a race bred motocross bike with 17" sportbike wheels.

There are a mix of bikes that fall in between, such as a wr450, husabergs, husqvarnas, etc, and other exceptions, but the above list is just for the basic category between the bikes.

thank you, i actually did do some of my own leg work and found that a supermoto is not necesarrily an off road only bike and one of the only differentiating factors is the 17" wheels.

i appreciate you elucidating the differences

Imagine that, did you use Google like all the "pricks" suggested? Crazy how that works huh? You search for something, and you get answers without having to start pointless threads and insulting people. Crazy.
