Nice! Took Pridmore's School back in 2000. Plan on taking yours soon. You'll be the second AMA instructor I'll have taken from. Congrats man:

That was a good read. Congratulations on accomplishing your goal, I bet that was a great feeling and will always give you something to look back on. Keep doing what you are doing and if you didn't already know you have made a big impact on the community.

Q: Based on the fact that you are a top CMRA racer here and everyone here sees you are super fast. From what you experienced, what separated you from the top runners in the AMA class? Corner speed, seat time , natural ability? I have always wondered this when comparing low lever mortals to the pros

And let me add to that....

Aren't these guys also running built motors and forged mag wheels?

Equipment, physical stature, skill, desire...

Here's the thing. I'm pretty sure that the top few guys don't have a day job. All they do is train and race motorcycles and have been at it for who knows how long. They are like 5'8"... 150 lbs and lean as a mo fo. They back the thing in, drift it out all day long, every corner. And they go hard every single lap from friday practice to the last lap on Sunday. It is the single most important thing in their life, I'd imagine. They have launch control, major electronics, wheelie control, traction control, back up bikes, modified frames, etc etc etc... true superbikes.

The most drastic difference is getting out of the corners. It aint so much the corner speed it's how fast they get the bike turned and leave a big fat blackie as they smoke your at corner exit.

And they arent scared to eat .

It's insane.

You have no idea how slow you are until you take to the track with these guys.

All that makes perfect sense. I am sure you would love to ride full time and the support they have. AMA rider Brant Dillion .. I bet you like the sound of that one

Not all rich people are rich. But I can see rich + no seat time being a major factor if that was their major job

you could buy a factory ride and you be on the same equipment. But you still gotta qualify.

Good job Brandt. Long way from skipping work for burgers at Yankees. Tiffany and I see super proud of you. You are no doubt a true friend and I am just so happy to see you fullfill your goal. I know it took lots of sacrifices; people and money.

Love ya brother. I'm just glad to say I know ya.

Can't believe we used to act like fools on the street. You've done great out there racing Brandt. It's pretty cool to see how much you have grown out there with instructing/ride smart and hauling .

Don't ever forget I did pass you one time on i10 to 59 interchange like a boss...
