Motorcyle transport from Dallas to Houston

Does anyone recommend a reliable motorcycle transport company in Dallas? I need to ship a Stratoliner Deluxe from Dallas to Houston. I have tried Uship.com but read the reviews online that most of the people there are con artists...

I was quoted $250 from Uship.com and would like to stay somewhere close to that price. Thank you.

I'd be tempted to do it for $250 if it could fit my schedule. What date and time do you need it picked up? This would be an open trailer haul, not sure if you were quoting/expecting enclosed or not.

$250 was the quote I was given with an open trailer. The bike should be ready tomorrow at noon in Dallas. Although I do not have a deadline, I would like the bike to be here in Houston as soon as possible after its ready from the shop.

i go to dallas regularly for work. I could always drive instead of fly and load yours up in my truck and bring it down for you.

But in all reality. $250 is an excellent quote since i normally pay oh, 125 in gas (for a 5.3l v8) and the outfit your ship'er is driving will be atleast that big and likely a diesel, driving the fuel cost even higher plus an empty return trip so you do the math.

FWIW, a guy with a trailer would barely break even at $250 making a round trup to Dallas. Depending on the type of tow vehicle and where in Houston and DFW exactly, gas (or diesel) alone would cost $100-150. Then the driver's gotta eat... and that's not counting the time spent driving practically whole day.

(90degree beat me to it...)

I would ride it for you. It would be cool if you flew me there. I have never been in a plane that has left the ground.

hehehe... fly you there, pay for taxi from airport to bike shop, feed you lunch, and gas for the bike back to houston..., just pay the $250 and be done.

I just picked up my RC8R from Decatur which is northwest of Ft. Worth on Saturday. My wife and I drove up there with our dog. Left Cypress at 6 am and was there at 10:30. Got home at 4:00 and that's even stopping at Bucky's in madisonville. Cost us around $140 in gas. Just make a road trip out of it for a day! Of course I froze my off in Ft. Worth..49 degrees!

Oh no...the dealership I bought it from came down last week to pick it up and service it. On a ride a few weeks ago a pin backed out in my linkage so my bike was stuck in 6th gear! I called am bitched them out so KTM told them to pick the bike up and go over the entire bike again! They replaced my gear star with an updated one and also replaced the shift rod, sping, and pins! Guy wasn't sure when he was going to be able to come back down here so I said screw it and picked it up myself!

If its reliable with decent tread left on the tires, I could ride it back for $180 + gas. It would be in your driveway by friday night.
