R6 Exhaust Question

I just recently purchased a Yoshimura Ride Smart-3 Slip on for my '04 R6.

When i took off the stock exhaust, the mid pipe fitted over the header, but the yoshimura mid pipe fitted inside the header...

im not sure if thats how its supposed to be, but if not, is there a place i can get the midpipe stretched to fit over the header, or any other alternative ? or will i have to find another mid pipe for the slip on ? is there anywhere i can get another mid pipe to fit if so in houston ?

It should slip over the junction to the header on it's lower portion, and the upper portion of the mid-pipe will go in the lower portion of the exhaust canister (where the spring hooks are, or clamps).
