Why don't you ask the Honda design team or their legal department?

By the way, Honda was the first to offer ABS on a supersport

Well I sell my current bike. Put the money I make off of it as a down payment on an R1. Use my employee discount and finance it (the lady that writes my paychecks is the one that heads up our financing.) And no I pay $75 a month to State Farm.

And yes, I hope to see you at MSR on the 21st.

Why is that? Does it interfere too much? kick in too easily and lengthen stopping distance?

If you can pull a fuse, you can wire in a switch in-line.

Another benefit is in a run-off. On the track, running into a feild isn't a big deal, just take your time slowing... but if you end up running wide to limited space on the side of the road, or try slowing down while baja-ing a ditch... I bet you'd want ABS.

What about a tire blow out? I bet slowing down with ABS would be (a little) less sketchy.

i quit doing trackdays about when you hit puberty, lol. though the free one at TWS (Texas World Speedway) has my ears perked.

like i said it'll take several hundred hours to pay the diff., if you can even get financed w/o mommy and daddy.

whatever floats your boat junior. you'll the most awesomest rider, maybe the slowest out there, but the awesomest!

get ABS if its avail on the bike.

Yes, but it does show what can happen on dirt with ABS. Some bikes have no ABS disable switch (besides pulling fuse). For a road-only bike, they do have an argument, but a very weak one.

BTW, not all riders are aware of this particular shortcoming of ABS, so i would not call it rider stupidity.

I'm sure the info you provided will be extremely helpful when he decides to take that nice brand spankin' new liter bike into adverse off-road conditions. Good lookin' out, keep up the good work

How thoughtless of me. I must be out of my mind when I rode my ABS-equipped C14 on sloping off-camber bumpy rocky gravel dirt road - on several occasions no less - along with a whole bunch of other bikes, litre sports and all, on my last 3-sisters ride. Oh the humanity, us stupid buffoons!

I am SO happy for you.

If you want to try out some off road riding bring that conny to the motard ride and follow me through the mountain bike trails, I'll even keep my ABS on for you.

I mean, I'll probably still fall, but it will be due to my inadequacy as an offroad rider, and not the ABS
