Honda FTW. Yamaha would be an easy 2nd place. I've owned around 14 Hondas over the years and they've all treated me well. I've owned a handful of yamahas and they've all been great bikes as well.

I like Yamaha. They have a good reliability factor and the styling is good too. I think they have a good all around product.

I do like a lot of other bikes from other manufacturers also. Just about all the manufacturers make good bikes now days.

To me , Yamaha is one of the best for quality or price range in either sport bike ,cruiser, etc .....
Honda is another one for sure , they are simple to work on for most shops that have decent mechanics.
Parts are quite easy to find , & both companies make sound good looking bikes.

for me, either honda or suzuki. i cant say that i'm very experienced with a variety of either brand, but hondas seem to be made a lot better, and hold up a lot better after a long time.
my 81' cm200 is in remarkable shape- aside from consumables, and a dent picked up by a rider. i had it idle outside of my garage for about half an hour with no problem. the bike hasnt had any particular care, aside from maybe oil changes and it runs like a (relatively) new bike.
the cm200 was a forgettable little bike. its not a cb, or anything recognizeable. no sporty aspirations here, but honda still put magic in it that keeps it fresh (you know... down 'there')

suzuki is good too, because sv650. :P

edit: but honda even beat them to that. the nt650 hawk gt. made in the beginning of the 90's. it's a 650cc sporty v twin, much like the sv650... but... it's even got honda's fancy schmancy pro link single sided swing arm. niiice.

KTM makes a variety of bikes that I would ride. I like the design's, looks, tech they have. I can ride dirt, street, KTM X-BOW, or both on a tard.

Same for BMW. I wont be limited to just one type of riding style.
