DAMNIT! Why cant we get these! They say the standards arent a big hit here, but if they would try and put them out I think they would see that the US market demand for these is getting bigger. I would ride the out of it, looks awesome.

They dont sell well. Look the Fz8 where it went.

10 is bigger than 2, but it doesn't justify shipping a bunch of bikes. The "ricky racer" stereotype is still alive and well in the US.

suspension and brakes look weak for an 800cc I4 that comes +2R from the factory.

Id just get a z1000 for the price difference really...now a z600 would make more sense...

That's the problem with the Japanese... they think that folks shopping smaller displacement care ONLY about cost that they are willing to live with mediocre suspension/brakes/etc. Look at the difference here with the Z1000. Same with FZ8; not that FZ1 had premium hardware, but at least they are adjustable.

Then you look at what Triumph does with the Street Triple 675R.

Used to be the same mentality auto mfrs had about compact cars. Now they realize drivers are actually willing to pay premium for a jazzed-up small car.
