Repair help

Well... a few weeks ago this happened.

Lucky the guy stopped and after a few weeks I was able to settle with his insurance. But I don't wana make this a post about the accident.

I finally got the bike running. Buffed out the scratches etc. But I noticed more problems when I took it for a spin.

1. There is a knock every time I hit a small bump. I m 99% sure its the upper bearings. I checked to see if a knock was coming from the lower triple tree, did not feel anything.

2. While riding, I can see that the steering is bent to the right just slightly. But the bike rides straight, balances evenly.

I would prefer to take it into a shop (near 290/beltway area), but if this is something that I can fix in my garage without taking off the whole front end apart then I would rather do that.

Any suggestions? Thx

I did not ask for your criticism.. I came here to ask for advice which you fail to provide.

Have you had the front end apart since the accident? Try loosening up all the lower fork pinch bolts and the axle. Then bump bike into a wall and yank up and down on the bars. Then tighten up the fork pinch bolts and bounce again. Then lastly tighten the axle nut. Been known to work before as sometimes forks get tweaked in the mounts and cause weird stiction issues.
