Thanks. i think it will have to get some cheap emgos to quiet it down a little. the old mufflers were rusty and full of carbon.

I havent got much to report for now, other than it runs well, and i found some cheap emgo shorties on amazon for $24 each. will probably wait until the next payday or thereabouts, before ordering. 3 kids, christmas and whatnot.

duuudes, my parents are getting us new windows for the house. its a 1980, and "cosy". the new windows should give it a little freshness. they should be in before christmas.

title office. titles are so much bullshit.
craigslist has got to be the biggest headache the ladies in the title office have ever encountered.
so yeah, if you laugh in the face of titles, ride dirty err dey, have no problem jumping through hoops, etc, i'm selling. i'd like to get $1000 for it.
you can read the life story in this thread. right now the electrical everything works. it needs a new battery, but everything works. i can start it with the button if it is running off of my lawn mower battery kickstartng is easy, too.
ill post some pics i just took with my phone. i was going to get a video of the bike kicking and running, but weather in the 30's doesnt agree with the bike.
a couple of weeks ago it ran great when it was warm.
this would make a great around town bike, or for someone to learn on, or for someone with a . hah. (yeah, i'm just messing with you, ladies... please put the stick down, squoddy)

yes. title issues are preventing me from getting the paperwork done. i dont have the time or money they want for this thing to get the title transferred into my name.
what the previous owner was doing seems like the best path to go with. he had one of his scooter's plates on this bike, and had no problem.

i doubt anyone would get a speeding ticket on this.

also, i just inherited a family vehicle. an early 90's ford ranger. i now have an alternate vehicle, so my family can fart around in the durango. my immediacy to finish a bike has also been reduced. if i can sell the cm and somehow land this bike i'm looking at, the world will be a happy place.

if it werent for there not being a plate on the bike, i'd ride it as is. it's a fun little bike.
i really dont see why the title office has to be so picky with the paperwork on a 30+ year old glorified scooter that was sold for parts.

how much is the title office telling you it will cost to get it street worthy?

they didnt give me an estimate or any number, but they said i have to find the guy whose name is on the front of the title.
it's street worthy, in my opinion, right now. a new battery would make everything better, but it rides fine right now. just needs a liscense plate... also, it's eligible for an antique plate, which is good for 5 years and you dont have to get inspections every year.

also, i think it might just be an issue with my local title office. these so and so's are some pretty tough people to work with.

Step 1. - Call Chad
Step 2. - Chad will fill you in
Step 3. - Pay Chad
Step 4. - Go register your bike
Step 5. - Feel good because your headache just dissapeared and you now have the bike registered in your name and a bonded title in your name
Step 6. Drink Beer and admire your choice to utilize Chad's badassery
