i got the carb cleaned out pretty good. my carb is different than the ones shown in several videos i watched today, but i got it figured out.

i lubed the throttle cable while i was at it, but now it feels like i have a lot of slack. the throttle feels like it is working for only about a quarter of a turn. i'll fire it up tomorrow for better results.

i tinkered with the bike earlier and have redone my front end lights and gauge and whatnot. i had ordered some brackets from dime city cycles, but they stuck out a lot further than i wanted, and they were really cheap and flimsy. i wound up polishing the ears of the stock light bracket. since the bars are an upside down clubman, i dont like having this big open, empty space. i had to find a new mounting place since the light bracket was now using my gauge's mounting holes. i am back with the little bracket that helt the choke cable pull . it looks good. i took a few pics that i'll put up.

OH YEAH... the bike idles super high. i have monkied around with everything i could find to bring it down.

another concern is my rear brake. front and rear are drums, which i have never serviced ever. the thing likes to apply pressure when i roll the bike.

That thing is coming together pretty nice! I'm diggin the wooden head light!

Have u had the opportunity to ride that thing around the neighborhood at all or just start? If so how is the power on a bike like that?

ive taken it around the neighborhood a few times today. i rode it a couple of weeks ago with low cafe bars and no seat and didnt like it. it's pretty good like this. the bike is quick right now, but it's pretty low on power.
its very easy to ride, and you feel confident. riding posture right now is pretty similar, i think, to my sv650.
the only other 200 i rode was a tw200 at awesome cycles. that bike was super fun.
this one seems to have less torque.

let me find a video of the 185 tearing it up. dude rides the wheels off of it.

it has been unofficially on my to do list for a long time. i have gone back and forth on the topic, mentally, and on 2 or 3 forums. i chopped the exhausts. i also banged out the inner pipe a little on the dented pipe. the sound is great. i'll have to make a little video for the youtubes. it also takes a lot less time for the bike to be able to idle from a cold start.
i might get some short emgo mufflers, but right now no plans. i like this, woo hoo

thanks. i went ahead and took some pics. youtube video is uploading.
i need to get the idle a little lower, but i'm not sure how to do that. it sounds really good when the idle is low.

i thought the pipes might be a little loose or wobbly, but they are very sturdy. the passenger pegs mount on the little curved tube you can see in the last pic, right behind the kickstarter.
i'm tempted to take them off, but doing so would mean i have to remove the swingarm bolt.
