Sony action cam

Has anyone seen or used this thing yet?

subcatActionCam hero bg

It comes in 2 versions, standard and WiFi. The WiFi says you can control it with your phone. The standard is $199 and the WiFi is $269. Records in HD and can do 4x HD slow motion.

I'll pop one out of the box and play around with it today. Worth a look anyway.

IMAG0439

It's smaller than the contour. Has a simple 3 button operation. Uses a regular Sony camera battery so that could be an issue depending on the amount of time you use it. I synced it to my phone through WiFi pretty easily and each unit has its own passcode.

It comes with its own mounts. I believe it comes with 2 adhesive style mounts and a strap mount along with the waterproof case. It's submersible up to 160 feet.
