aren't they really expensive? maybe its just their nicer helmets. I saw a carbon fiber Vemar a year or so ago, before the HJC Carbon fiber came out. The Vemar was like $800.

they are great helmet i got 2 of them.
one is carbon fiber and the other one is vsr blue. very light and very quiet, the only down fall is finding the replacement part etc... shield is order from canada. other than that i love them. yes they are expensive before they pull out of US so now they are very afforable i rather buy them then KBC, HJC or scorpion even those they are nice helmet too but for the money they rate a little better, remember the Vemar VSR are very light carbonfiber weight less then 3LBS reg. VSR weight in at 3.6lbs but they are not DOT approval just euro approval only but they crash test is great. good luck i know i enjoy my a lots.

Never owned one, but I've read on other forums that they are good helmets. I remember some place online was selling them for a great price and the only reason I didn't buy was the color...it was the VSR blue helmet.

Well to anyone that wants one, or wants to save a "claimed" (by the website) $400 on a helmet: (Claimed Retail is $499.95, sale is $99.95)

http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com...ELMETS%3AVemar

I kinda thought about buying one, but my Scorpion doesn't need replacing.

They get reviewed as light, aerodynamic, and very comfortable with a top notch fit and finish. But also noisy as . I've never ridden track, but I suspect if I did this would be a kickass helmet to have for trackdays. I don't think it would be so great for commuting or a leisurely ride. Supposedly they aren"t SNELL, but they have done the crossover to DOT and passed.

It's not snell, but it does have ECE 22.05 cert. And I think for trackdays, a helmet must meet either SNELL, BSI, or ECE...not just DOT cert. I could be wrong, highly unlikey, but I could be. :laughing6
