Scooter, call me, I design this stuff all day long. Do you have a type J themocouple? It looks like that controller needs J. Oh and the polarity is as follows on T/Cs Red is always negative. I also need some more details to give you the correct wiring information.

^^sweeet! I dunno on the thermocouple, it was sent with it so its supposed to be a match.
what other info do you need? 240 drop, 3 elements in parallel, so one connection, I want to have a switch off of one of the 110 legs for the lights, and the same leg can also go to another switch for a manual recirculating fan feed.
the controller has a connection for the thermocouple, thats the easy one. the rest of the doo-doo is greek to me and I have to get it done so i can finish wiring tonight and start it up and see if we need to call the fire department or not.

oh man, that would be awesome, I have to install the last element on the back wall and then its a matter of wiring a few things together and plugging it in and either going "woooooooooot!" or "Hey!, quick! whats the number to 911 ?"

this picture doesnt show the neutral of the 220 going to the controller though.

I would hope to think with all the paint and ovens in the garage that you have smoke detectors and portable fire extinguishers.

Wow! that's a 220VAC coil on that contactor? That is very odd to have control voltage that high.

I saw that, but , I just hooked it up with a one leg jumper like we talked about and the test burn is a go. Its up and running. I dont have the new 5k watt element in place yet, but the test burn wih the two bottom elements has it chuggin along.
Thanks for your help tons indeed.
I dont really know what to make of the bs controller though, the digital display is reading jibberish, is it set up for some canadian whack stuff or something?
How much would a decent Honeywell controller set me back?

excellent , I installed a decent stainless mechanical gage i've had and also the j thermocouple, the readout is reading "U42" when its at 200 degrees by the mechanical. so i dunno what the the digital readout is telling me. Also, It definately needs the extra 5,000 watt element to speed things up, I will have it installed by tomorrow and I also need to find a decent box to mount this in. lemme know what ya find and how much and I'll get it to you asap, and again, thanks
