I think his chances of gettin' "hooked up" from this forum went down when he started calling Tim a .
If I had a basket case I was looking to give away I wouldn't be inclined to mention it at the moment.

I would guess that you're not even close. How many bikes have you built? How many HDs, Sportsters or otherwise? How many of their engines have you built? How many have you then gone on to turbo?

You did start this thread sounding like you didn't know an HD from your hole with your original question presented, and I would have posted the exact same thing Tim did. Fact is, he's a respected member of this community who happens to know his and he's trying to educate your ignorant . Swallow your pride, say thanks, and move on.

As for where to find one, can't really say right now, only that deals are out there. I picked up an '05 for $700 a couple of summers ago and threw it together, ended up being one of my favorite bikes. I actually ended up trading that Sporty to Tim for a Buell, and he's right about them having a pretty badass engine, at least compared with the 883 I had, but they're not rubber mount (at least the generation I had wasn't, though it seems like the XBs might be, I've never researched them) and I did end up trading that bike for something much more comfortable. Good luck in your search, and I look forward to seeing what you put together.
more fan boy bull , again you add no value to this thread. thanks for playing gtfo

i swear you all you guys need to move to utah and get married to each other.

Jae: you must learned everyhing you know from Tim huh? As I can tell from your Sig thats some FINE mod'in you do to your bikes, REAL nice workmanship...

Harley guys, sheesh, always gotta be right about everything.
My thoughts exactly. Best advice given in this thread so far in fact. Something about this thread must've Piqued all these PRO'z interests enough to open it and reply to it, so im not too far off the mark, its just a shame that all these really experienced AWESOME best customizers in the world also happen to act like in threads behind their keyboards (to show how wise and reserved they are?) instead of, like you mentioned throwing a bone to a guy tryin to work his way into something american.

i dont know where you went to school, or what kinda brain is inside your head but if you call replying to someones thread sounding like a then you're only fooling yourself. Fact is, he came across sounding holier-than-thou and I dont care how respected or how old he is, if he has not learned how to NOT come across as a complete within the first 30 seconds of engaging someone then he's definitely NOT someone I want to take advice from much less deal with. He could've sent that first reply after his second, and maybe i wouldnt feel the way I do but he chose not to, for whatever reason in his infinite wisdom he decided.

Noob asks for help. Tim helps out noob. Noob gets pinecone in for feeling like a noob. Noob loses all credibility not because he's a noob, but because he's a self-righteous noob and a know-it-all.

noobs.
