It's funny, I live in Austin and they just opened a bunch of tollways and people were VERY against them. now that they're open, everyone they interview thinks that they are awesome. :laughing6

Similarly, they ask people if an HOV lane(s) would help in Austin and they say no, they won't help. Apparently those people don't know anyone who commutes or rides a bus that can use HOV lanes (like in Houston or Dallas)...

Ignorant people... The protest just for the sake of protesting sometimes

I accidently got on there once with just me in the car and there was a cop at the exit. Luckily he let me go. I told him I knew I screwed up the moment I got on but not much I could do then. So, we made a deal... he lets me go this time and if he catches me again he can throw the book at me. Worked out well.

I say 'watch your speeds' because bikes are allowed [1 up] on the HOV.

Get on there at like 6AM and it's your own personal expressway!

I think motorcycles are exempt from the more than one occupant rule

In the HOV.

I take the 45 HOV to work on Friday's because I can wear jeans and this of course means that if the weather is right I'm riding. It's slow as going to work but I'm usually flying on the way back. I actually started getting comfortable on the HOV before I would venture on to the highway.

I use the HOV every day for going to school and back. It's the closest thing to the autobahn at 7pm. Thanks for the lookout, i will be sure to slow it down.

They do.

I do my best to keep it under 100. Hard to drive slow when there's nobody on it.

When Gryphin mentioned late at night, I was thinking 11 or 12 o'clock, not 8 PM.

Hmmm. I've seen the gate open sometimes after 8PM. I sure as wouldn't chance it though. What if someone is coming the other way.
