Just tuck in your elbows when you need to use your mirrors. Or get bar end mirrors. I only have one on the right side

That helmet cam/HUD seems like it would be a of a distraction, showing a disparate image from what is in front o you at all times. To each his own I guess.
As for me, I found on my 900SS that I could actually flare my elbows out and look between my arm and torso with those shitbag mirrors. They still vibrated like , so they were still essentially useless.
I'd go bar-end if I were you.

The image they show in the pic is simulated. What's inside the helmet is a mirror near the top of the visor, the image is like the rear view mirror mounted to the windshield of a car

I have to twist a shoulder out of the way, but I would never ride without them. I check them very often.

Mine show a great shot of my elbows, so I just tuck my arm in and they work great!

Most stock mirrors must share this problem! (...I said most, not all!)

I've dealt with plenty of crappy mirrors, but I'd still way rather have them that not. Legality aside, I feel naked not being able to keep an eye on what is coming up behind me when I'm slowing down.

I haven't had mirrors on my bike for almost 4 yrs. never got a ticket or when I was getting a ticket they never mentioned my mirrors. I do feel that riding without them is like riding blind and then if you ride with music then you become deaf and blind in a sense. I'm actually considering getting some more and putting them back on. I've lost some of my "" In my old age and think they're kinda important now =[

DoNt think no mirrors is illegal or even req for inspection. I rode without em for a couple years until i almost got killed. Was slowing to make a right hand turn on a teo lane road and some idiot in an suv passed me on the right shoulder just as i was tipping into the turn. Missed his mirror with my head by inches.

Got pulled over many times by dps, county sherrif etc and was never mentioned but never again for me. Once was too close for comfort.

You have to have at Least one mirror by law I think. I use a place off I-10 to get my bike inspected because he usually let's it pass with none. When I went last November he almost didn't pass it Because I didn't have any.

i have one bar end but it's convex so i can see a wide range behind me(left and right). even at hwy speeds with the vibration of a v-twin.

R6 mirror's suck. Flare elbows up to peek if necessary. Bar end's seem the way to go.

So only mirror is necessary. So does it count if my helmet visor has a mirror tint on it?

I have rear view camera as well. I did not take my mirrors off, i just fold them up. Got tired of how often i got pulled over. Cops always looking for a reason to pull over a bike. No mirrors is a GIMME. but with rearview camera, they can ticket. So it became waste of time.

I think this is a bound to catch on soon with mfrs. First on the high end tourers like Gold Wing and K1600GTL, which already have big LCD screen for GPS and info display. adding a camera won't add that much to the cost.

I like the idea very much. Even better if pattern recognition software is embedded into the system to detect Crown Vics.
