35mm to 52mm throttle bodies on my flat twin.

Here are a few pictures from my most recent upgrade. I gutted the airbox and removed the 35mm throttle bodies and decided to mount 52mm throttle bodies from a r1150rt/r1100s. In the process I changed out the ECU to a single spark r1100s.

Test fitting the 52mm'ers and trimming the new air duct to incorporate the now gutted stock air box.

This was a bigger job then I initially thought it would be. I had to remove the rear subframe to get to the air box to gut it. She has a lot more throttle response now and is a lot smoother.

I had to change the ECU out to one from an r1100s for it's fuel maps. I will resynchronize the throttle bodies again in a few weeks to make sure she is balanced properly.

This is a photo of the camshaft swap that I did earlier this summer. In the upper left it shows the old intake tube. The throttle bodies on the old set up where inside the air box.

33 to 55mm? That seems like a huge jump!
