i hear ya, they are the most expensive among bikes. parts are expensive too. but the bike feels really balanced, u get what u pay for i guess. i havent ridden the new kawasakis, but my 98 zx9r was a pig. the yamas are just to light and i have no experience with gsxrs so cant comment, except for the tl-r, way too much torque.

my buddy wrecked at the track the day before, u can read about his wreck and his uncle's in the racers section. he was pushing a little too hard right after it started raining and ending up mud wrestling the bike. he didnt get enough at the track so he dragged me out 149 sun.
