This had scammer/theif written all over it from the get go. No way an a theif would be stupid enough to meet you at a public location. They probably wanted you to get isolated at the empty house and jack you(or worse) when you get there.
Good call on letting the PD handle it from here, Tim, Alan. No sense in pursuing it further.

I almost had the same experience with someone last week about a fake bike (a deal that's too good to be true). Good thing the deal didn't go down cause I knew right away there was something not right about it. Might be the same person. LMK

Too bad I didnt see this yesterday. I could have laid superb sniper support. Good for up to about 600 yards at night. 800 during the day.
