Small cc bikes rule! If the industry truly wants new riders, the entry bike market needs a lot more offerings. The Ninja 300 is smart.

i wonder what performance will be like. My wife has said she would ride a ninja 250 or cbr 250, but honestly I would like her to have a little bit more power.

Soon to be followed by the Honda CBR400... then the Yamaha FZ400R... Kawasaki Ninja 500... Suzuki GS550...

Hey, it'll be the 80's all over again.

Getting ready for some of the 50mpg minimum laws like in Europe sounds like.

At least they are making them appealing.

Who needs more power for an entry level bike? The idea is to have fun. Not everyone wants hand ripping accelleration or a racing bike made legal for the street. I have had some long discussions on the Guzzi forum about the V7R, horsepower and such. In the end 38 dyno horsepower, with high torque is a of a match to my riding style. Light weight, great brakes, great handling, great tires and reasonable horsepower rule!

I don't need more power for acceleration, but i'd like a bike that wasn't at 90% capacity on the highway. I'd love a 250, but the cbr250 is tapped out around 90-95mph. I'd like if it was like my old gs that cruised at 80 no problem and would go up to 110.
