sunday morning forrest (slow pace)

planning to head through the forrest early sunday morning. friend just got a sportster and wants to get out. not sure if we will go all the way to yankees or not but the pace will be faily slow. anyone is welcome but again we wont be in any hurry, may be a good chance for newer riders to get out and enjoy that run.

no set time as of now but i want to be kSU by 730 possibly earlier. can make things more set if theres any interest.

we will be leaving from the north side atascocita/kingwood area

Great weather, cool riding group, & an awesome ride...all in all, a good day to be a biker (could've done w/o the Lance Armstrong wannabes, but whatcha gonna do?). Hit me up the next time you guys head out in the future.

Just an observation: I love how "slow pace," to MotoHouston members, means that there might be one or two straights under 100mph, & a couple of curves not taken @ triple the posted limit. Its freakin' awesome!!! LOL!

had a lot of fun as well. I don't think I ever broke triple digits haha. titled slow bc I didn't want it to be a normal fast ride not knowing how the sportster would handle it. looked like it cornered good. glad you guys made it out

Yeah, I think it'd be safe to say that the sportster definitely got a baptism by asphalt, & from my vantage point, it looked solid through the twistiest, especially given that its a cruiser.

I tapped triple digits a few times, but that was cuz I lagged back a bit, just so I could push it to close ranks again. A ride to Yankee's just doesn't feel complete, to me anyway, w/o a couple of 90+mph corners, & an unnecessarily fast sprint down a straight or two. Gets the blood pumping. :-)
