Exclamation JAY NEWTON NEEDS YOUR HELP!!

Jay Newton has applied for the 2013 KTM Red Bull Rookies Cup tryouts. If selected, he will need to travel abroad to a yet undisclosed location sometime in early October. The participants are only given a ten day notification of where they need to be and when they need to be there. With this very difficult time frame to work in, the travel expenses will be considerable for him and his mother. Jay is asking the motorcycle community for donations to help with these expenses. You can send a donation as a gift via Paypal to the account listed below. In the event Jay does not get chosen for the event, every last penny will be refunded to the respective donor. Thanks in advance so much for your consideration.

clnewton@suddenlink.net

For those of you who are not familiar with Jay, you can view his website for more information.

Already contacted them, and most do not do cash sponsorships or donations.

I am well aware of that, hence the plea for help for my son! I normally would not even ask, but this is extremely important to him.

Passports $220 x 2
Airline $1100 x 2
Hotel Hopefully have enough points to cover it. Depends on location.
Food and rental car or shuttle of some sort while there??????

This is the bare minimum that it will take for him to go. I have decided to stay at home, and let his mother go with him, just to save wherever we can.

If you, or anyone else is unable to donate, we completely understand!!

Thanks to everyone that has given so far!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you will take the time to research the information I have supplied, you will get a better idea of what Jay is trying to accomplish. Other than a few full sponsorships(no cash), which are locally and nationally funded, we receive discounts on products or services. I pay for everything else. Unless you race, you have no clue as to the expenses of fuel(and not just for the bikes), entry fees, bike maintenance and prep, tires(and not just for the bikes), and the list goes on.

Jay's bikes do not sit in the garage when it comes to race weekends. He was the CMRA 2011 F5 and F6 Sprint Champion, as well as the F6 Mini Endurance Champion. For the past two years, he has been at every CMRA round, and this year he has competed at two WERA races, and hopes to race at the WERA GNF on his Kawasaki Ninja 250 and bring home a National title in the ESS Novice class. At 14 years of age, he is an outstanding rider, and is currently a top ten finisher in the B and C Superstock classes on his Yamaha R6 in the CMRA, and finished with two top tens at his first WERA race at NOLA on a big bike(R6).

Jay has the capability to succeed as a road racer. He just needs to opportunity to showcase his talents. The Red Bull Rookies Cup tryouts will give him the chance to do so. Please, take the time to view the links and see what it is all about. They supply the bike for testing, I just need to get him there!

Thanks!

not at all saying I dont understand how expensive it is. no doubt...
they pay to make the bike right for him, you would think they would help to get him there also to showcase the bike (sponsors) and his skill.
I wish him luck and I wish you luck in getting him there.
