Aluminum Welder Needed

Some dumbass -fer-brains stoopit fool put my tank mount across two 2X4's to see if he could step on it a little and take the slight warp out of it. He was just pressing down real light and then checking it to see if it moved any.

then:
SNAP !!!!
I felt like punching the guy in the beak with a Chevy Dually Crewcab with a 6.5 Liter Diesel . . . . . . but then my kids would be fatherless . . . . .

Anybody out there that can do it? Preferably on the southside, but . . .

I can get one off ebay for $30 but I really don't wanna wait 2 weeks to get it.

Try Randy at Lonestar Metalwerx. 713-465-6552. He is a master welder. Welded a cracked Alu block in one of my racecars. It has held up despite 4 subsequent blown headgaskets (running 22+ psi boost)

I know that Performance Aluminum has a 1 hr min charge. $50 That's a little pricy. Like I said, I don't really want to wait but the one on eBay is $24.95 and it's free shipping on this item plus you get the rubber cushion and mounting bolts. Shops just don't like to tinker with the little . It takes too much time for nothing.
I haven't hear back from Randy.

Sure it can. I've had AL cylinder fins TIG'ed back on on a couple of occasions. Though not likely worth any welder's effort if you can buy a whole new one for $25. And if it requires any sort of precision fitment, you can forget it.

I WAS THE DUMBASS -FER-BRAINS. OK???? I CONFESS !!!
I had just pressed it a little bit and checked it. About half of the 1/4 inch dip was already bent back out. I was feeling pretty good about IT and just taking it easy.... or so I thought.

And I would have had it running too if I wouldn't have broken that fargin bracket!!

Anybody wanna save me from eBay 773H ? If you have one I'll buy it from ya.
