Larry and I both went down in turn 17 but neither of us were hurt. In think he hit the wall. My bike hit the tires and I stopped in the middle of the track. Neither of us were hurt. I broke the switch on the clutch that keeps the bike from starting without the clutch being pulled in. Brandon fixed it and I rode the other sessions until I was too tired to continue.

I was too tight to the turn and hit the water and was down before I knew anything was wrong. You can see the puddle in Swift E's pictures. It looks like the puddle got bigger at one point.

I counted at least five crashes and might have forgotten a couple: one in turn one in the first session, one coming out of Diamond Head, one in the Launch (seen on video) and two in turn 1

That seems like a lot for the number of riders. I think standing around for a couple of hours waiting for the rain to end caused us to push a little hard.

I have multiple pictures of both wrecks as they happened. I had my camera in continuous shooting when the wrecks happened. I'll get them posted up in a bit.

Good pic Michael. It's hard to see from the angle but it looks like you were looking through the turn like you should be. Good to meet you out there too.

+1, his bp looked really good all day long, moving off the seat, getting the knee out and looking through the turns

I bet Larry is glad he brought the "built from spare parts" bike instead of his race bike.

Thumbs up

I got my pics posted up. I need to get a telephoto lens. :BangHead: I didn't do any post processing of the pics and the original full-size are up there too if anyone wants them. I caught two of the wrecks on film. Now I need to learn how to use my camera better. I have the same model as the professional photographer. Not the same skill though. :confused1 :laughing6
