Gp Pro question...

THe going rate on a GoPro is 300.00 bucks. Does that package include the stuff necessary to film from a bike? If not, what accessories do you need and thier cost?

Thanks

It should include 3m mounts that u can put on the bike. There are some other accessories that are pretty cheap too like a handle bar mount and angled mounts that u can put on ur helmet too.

amazon has a motorsport package for the HD Hero2 for < $250

I think that comes with all the basic mounts you need, except maybe helmet mount. I've been thinking about getting it, but not sure if they're going to come out w/ a newer version by X-mas. Maybe 1080p video recording?

The hero 2 does 1080p at 30 frames per second with a field of view of 170 degrees.

All versions (motosport or outdoor even surf) will have enough to mount it to your lid.

The moto version shuld have a bar mount. My bike is an inline twin and the bars vib way to much for that to ever work.

$250 should be about right.

Wish it was more aerodynamic and had better battery life. I'm only getting about 1.5 hours.

The "built in heater" lol the camera gets fing hot as zuck.

Oh, and it should be sold with the dissicant inserts included. It gets hot, steams up on the inside under some conditions. Of course, it will be on a track day.

The price has been lowered across the board to $250. If you're paying more than that...you got hosed.

Go to academy, or cycle gear, or best buy to see what's in the package

Thanks Chris. Our regular sale price is $249. Hero has minimum advertised pricing policies so that is the cheapest we can sell it for on the website. The $229 is a Motohouston special.

I thought the original Go Pro Hero had 1080p recording?

If you can wait, I would wait until the next one comes out and the current one goes on sale.
I got my HD Hero for $180 when the HD2 came out.

Came with a suction cup mount which will mount on anything and a bunch of 3M sticky mounts which I use on my helmet.

Yeah, you guys are right. I remembered after posting that the Hero2 does 1080p video.

But 1080p only has the 30fps option. I would think 720p at 60fps would actually look better?

How are the mounts? I've heard stories of people losing their GoPros on the road.
