i heard macs are really good with graphic stuff. i just know how to mess around with photoshop a bit, only for personal use, but i'd like to get a tablet to freehand draw some things. any of you graphic people know which is a good one?

As far as I know Wacom is the best, but they are not cheap.
Also, you have to get use to their pen mouse.
The freehand drawing might not turn out as you expected as well.

I got my Wacom tablet at Microcenter for $100.... nifty tool. Yes, it does take some getting used to. Personally I think I'm just as good with a mouse,trackpad, or tablet......it will come down to a preference thing for you. No negative marks here though.

(note: this is not the pen you draw straight on a monitor with. It's like a mouse pad.)
