05 gsxr600 20th anniversary edition

I love my gsxr600. I find it does have alot of power and if im sitting right by 13k rpms in 1st gear its lifting the front wheel on its own, But I'm a super light guy. The nice thing though is while it is powerful the power is very manageable comes on smooth overall the bike feels extremely well balanced. Too bad though mine feels extremely heavy lifting it from the kickstand =/, But I love the bike too much to ever consider getting rid of it right now for something lighter.

Great to hear the new bike is working out for you, and the statement about 6 weeks then totaling the bike, any way you spin the story he told the truck who hit him put the car into reverse. Not much OP could really do in that situation except not get hurt. Just saying..

The FZ6 is tuned differently and has more low down torque while the SS bike has more revs (and more overall power and torque just at higher RPM).

Congrats on the purchase

I don't have a lot of experience to compare, but like my k5 600 alot. The power in high rpms is predictable and the handling is pretty forgiving. I'll probably stick to 600 supersports for a while.

Kind of want to see what the next gen Gsx-r will look like though.
