Fastline Minis at Cresson

Fastline Minis...3rd place overall in MiniEndurance, F4, woohoo! My first CMRA podium finish. I'm stoked. Only took 41 years, haha.

3 AM bedtime, no practice, barely ready for race start with a misplaced transponder. Then 1.5 hours of teetering around in driving rain, then 2.5 hours of glorious dry track. Sid, Kraze Kris and I kept it on 2 wheels on DOT Bridgestones (thanks John, SCRC), running 5 or 6 laps behind two very fast teams running rain tires for the first two hours. Our trusty little EX250 did a great job. For a budget bike, it is awesome, starting as a 30k mile bone stock slightly wrecked $700 craigslist street bike, adding Woodcraft rearsets and clip ons (Thanks Jill and Kevin @ RentmyNinja) and some fresh fork oil and spacers (Thanks Brandon @ P1), bodywork sourced by Armando for $50, and BAM!!, your farm fresh $1200 race bike, LOL.

CMRA staff were awesome, as were the accommodating Fastline Women's Team (Leather and Lace #33) who ran great and jumped way up in the standings. Special thanks to Gavin for tool lending, a home on pit lane, and fueling and on and on. What a guy!

I can't wait for Eagle's Canyon next month.
