You're riding it there and back, or you're going there to get it?
Either way - sweet ride! As long as you take 5 minutes to stretch every 100-150 miles, you'll be fine. Drink lots of water, regardless of how hot or cold it is.

riding it there and back, a cousin lives there. I decided to go a couple days ago because the weather here sucks so bad right now. got a new rear tire, suspension adjusted, and a safety vest. pretty much all packed up. time for sleep.

thanks for wishing me a safe ride everyone. I'll be sure to take a bunch of pics

take a rain suit - the rain that was here is moving east along the coast and down by Tampa.

I believe it's more than 1200 miles to Miami from Houston?

I drove to Miami and back couple years back - NEVER AGAIN!!! It is the most boring road in the world!!!!! I didn't stop for anything but petrol the whole way and it still took 16.5 hours just to get there!!!!!! Most peeps I spoke to took 18 hours or so! Be VERY careful in Louisiana - cops not so nice.

Fair play to you for taking on the challenge but please be careful and remember when you get to Florida don't get too excited coz you'll still have about another 8 hours to go for Miami!!!!

That figure is right. Watch for a black pick-up in louisiana. There is one running motorcycles off the road there on I10. It got my uncles girlfriend last year. Have fun.

Good luck on that ride. Heres the directions 1-10 west, then 1-95 south. Ok Thats it. Its only about 950 miles give or take a few, bout 1200 when you go to the keys. Hope you like fighting sleep, cuz its a boring ride.
