I have stacks on my bike and on the dyno it just moved the power around to the higher rpm and 2 hp gain

Velocity stacks can't add power. All they do is move peak power around.

Ergo: longer stacks, lower rpm to hit peak power. Shorter stacks, higher rpm to peak power.

Picking the right length depends on how you ride. A lot of stock bikes have staggered sets so there's multiple peaks. If you're riding a lot of trackdays where you're revving the out of the bike constantly, short stacks will put peak power in the rpm range you're actually using.

I didn't feel like wasting the 200 bucks on a piece of aluminum. I just went and bought all OE long stacks and installed them on the bike. They don't sit straight up like the velocity stacks but they are curved straight towards the intake tubes. I love the response from it personally but I'm not sure on HP numbers or torque curve so just my .02
