I have owned all 4. Most of them were Kaws. I culd never say anything bad about them. I have owned 12 of them. Beat them like rented mules, and only blew up one (kx80, blew top end with a LOT of hours).

I owned 2 suzukis. One was a nightmare.

1 Yamaha. It was horrible.

2 hondas. Never a problem. I liked them both. Would not hesitate to buy another

Regardless,
HONDA (most reliable!)
Have Suzuki, Triumph, Ducati. Honda always has the least visit to the hospital.

I ranked Honda and Yamaha equal.'

I am just curious where people are getting the "Honda" s more reliable than "Yamaha"?

As reliable but not more reliable.

Look at Yamaha's Motgp success. That is no accident and that quality filters down just like Honda's racing efforts have made it thier streetbikes.

i have had hondas and suzukis, most of my friends ride hondas and yamahas and out of them my friends with hondas have had far less issues then my friends with yammis. I have only irdden yammis but as far as i could tell honda is slightly better on the scale of reliability!

Hondas are bland but reliable. Fit and finish is better on Euro bikes.

I know it's going to be hard for some of you to believe, but my Aprilia is hands down the most reliable bike I've ever owned.

Both my Honda and Suzuki's were bullet proof but I give the nod to Suzuki because I rode it waaaay longer and waaaay harder than the honda and never had a single issue. Chainge oil, add fuel and go.

Not having a oem slipper clutch in a 600rr is fkn retarded.

What's your definition of QUALITY?

To me, quality is a combination of the following attributes:

A. Reliability - high MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure).
B. Refinement - reduction of NVH (Noise Vibration and Harshness).
C. Fit & finish - aka mfg tolerances and surface aethetics.
D. Attentional to detail - amount of additional engineering & mfr expense paid to part(s) that can otherwise be produced cheaply and still remain fully functional - mainly in an visual/artistic sense.

While folks like Honda excels in mostly A & B, they don't necessarily have a flair for C & D.

OTOH, most Italian brands are quite the opposite - often criticized for lack of A & B, but acclaimed in C & especially D.

Gross generalization, no doubt. But the tendencies are definitely there.

Cannondale Quick CX4 (Pedal Powaa!!)

Yamaha to me has a good balance. Maybe not the best in all things but very well rounded. They seem to have good style, function, and quality.
