kindy douchy imo...they obviously like you and the thrill but cmon man...at least let them kill themselves. aside from that you cant extract the full pleasure that comes with riding hard when youre 2up...even at the track.

I can see a demo ride to let a non-rider see what it is like, but not on the street...and not really pushing it...

I do it and enjoy it. I trust Skid and use it as an additional training tool.

(Thanks to Mike for use of his bike with passenger pegs)

I think Skid has a tad more experience and keeps most that to the track. :-)

I've taken a few girls 2-up on the street and the track over my riding years, and done (stupid) things with them on the back. Current g/f has been on the back of my 1K and her old CBR600rr with me, on the street and a couple tracks, including TWS (Texas World Speedway) with the long straights. First times on the track was on her 600. Then I got her out on my 1K. We were hitting speeds over 160 on the straight at World. It can be a teaching tool (ask Godzuki, even ask Dean of Lean who has been on the back with a pro rider), as it teaches braking points, when & where to get on the gas, lines, etc.

Now this is if she's a rider too. Do all the fun/stupid stuff if ya want, that's your call, your conscious. A bunch of us have been down that road.

What he said.

I'm actually thinking of letting my curb monkey take a ride with me next track day. Gonna have to let her use my leathers, but I think it would be fun.

I'm not gonna give you for what you're doing cuz might not make a difference, bit I try to be a little more careful with someone on the back, it's not just my life I'll ruin at that point.

You must be responsible.

Is this considered 2-up? Or 2-over?

Racing Two Up, Street & Track ?

I'd say if you are comfy enough with what you do on the street, doing it on a track isn't gonna be worse. I worry about emergencies with my girl on the back, and ride accordingly... but I'm not much of a risk taking anyways.

Back in my young and dumb days I would ride 2 up with my girl (who is now my wife)down Allen Parkway hauling a$$. Luckly she knew how to lean with me. We didn't think about the what ifs back then. Now there is no way in I would do that on the street. But on the track........ That would be interesting.

It's been done many times. Ridesmart had a two up day where they did 2up sessions. There is a pic of cdill35 and Lisa dragging knee.

To start off racing on the street is stupid whether you are 2 up or not.

It is much safer on the track. The trackdays I've been to ridesmart has kept 2 up riders in level 1.
