I used to blow (breathalyzer not weenie) for a good friend of mine. He would get down the road and after 15 min. it would start beeping and would get louder with every beep.

He'd just put the handset out the window and roll it up.

It worked in the short-term.

I wasn't seriously reccomending that.

Like I said, it worked OK in the short run, but not when he went to have his codes read at the end of the month. He didn't really care though.

Sometimes he'd need to drive in the morning when he was still drunk and he'd ask me to blow for him. It would regularly tell me that I was still drunk after sleeping for several hours.

... i know the feeling... how long did he have it for and what did the court say about his readings? I once blew a .078 on it... the lady that read the code was like WTF?? :eh:

He got his first DUI two weeks before we started our freshman year of college. His dad was the city director of the town where he lived, so he got off pretty light. But then he got two more deweys in our first year at school.

His dad helped him out and he was able to drive with the breathalyzer, even after 3 deweys at 18-19 years old.

His codes were fukked up every month, so they were finally going to take his license away.

But then he discovered heroin, and driving didn't matter anymore anyway.

He was a really good guy - aside from his problems - and one of my best friends.

haven't seen him in years, but I still consider him a friend. miss that dude.

yeah.. good people sometimes find them in bad positions. I go up to the place every month to get it serviced and always see a bunch of wetback looking people who already look drunk.. I'm like .... can't believe I'm here.
