3/4 of all accidents happen at intersections. I'm very adamant about keeping an eye on my 6 because of that. There would probably be a lot of riders still with us if they would have just been wearing their helmets.

As far as being out on fri and sat night there are a lot of drunks out there. I heard a recent statistic that we are the #1 drunk driving city in the U.S. I don't get all the drunk driving and people on their cell phones. There needs to be stronger penalties or something.

This is what I'm talking about all you motorcyclists who prefer to DRIVE rather than RIDE when youre drinkin'. Its rather ironic and moronic, really.

Its not being judgemental, its just putting it into perspective.

If I am having anything to drink, I will not ride because then I would not be 100%. And to drive in Houston you need to be focused. Even 1 beer will have an effect. Maybe your not drunk but you are still not 100%.

Just a personal preference.

I think more people would do hit and runs after hitting other cars too if they could, they just usually get more mashed up (with the other car having as much mass in the collision). So: Lots of unscrupulous bastards out there run after hitting the bikers, but I believe they would do the same after hitting a car if they could.

Drinking and operating a motor vehicle is PURE GENIUS! carry on

Do you inform your curb monkeys that you've had a beer?

So then you just assume they knew that you had been drinking?

Was a friend, amazing lighting designer for many local venues. He made very big artistic contributions to Houston. Very, very sad :(
